Who
May Qualify for Abbeyfield Residency
Residency at Abbeyfield House is open to men and women 55 years of age
or better, who wish to live in community rather than alone. Because
Abbeyfield is NOT a nursing home, applicants should be physically and
mentally independent, enjoy a reasonable level of health, and show
compatibility with other residents.
The cost of residence is $1575 per month.
The monthly fee includes:
- accommodation in
your studio suite
- three meals per
day, plus snacks
- all utilities
including cable TV but excluding telephone.
Note that provincial assistance programs such as SAFER may be used to
cover part of this rent. As some residents'
needs may increase with time, they may wish to contract with other
social agencies for supportive care, while still residing at Abbeyfield.
